In a time of serious uncertainty, Cassidy and Stephen knew one thing was for sure… they couldn’t wait to be married! After months of planning, their day was coming up and nothing, I mean nothing, was going to stop them. Not even a global pandemic or the world shutting down could stop them. They chose joy over sadness, celebration over mourning, and love over everything else.
Their wedding day at Arrow Springs Chapel was a gorgeous blend of tradition, sentimentality and fun. Really, they did a phenomenal job making their wedding day 100% theirs in every way. They got married on the four year anniversary of the day they met with Cassidy wearing her mother’s wedding dress. Attached to her beautiful bouquet was a small pendant with an old photo of her immediate family. As if that wasn’t all thoughtful enough, her wedding band was a unique combination of Stephen’s great grandma’s wedding set and 50th wedding set welded together – 4 rings in all!
I meant it when I said they made their wedding day unique. Every detail was impeccable and thoughtfully planned. Perhaps the sweetest way they did this was Cassidy honoring all the important men in her life. Both her dad and stepdad walked her down the aisle. Then, at the reception they even shared a first dance when her stepdad cut in half way through the dance. It was so sweet and most of their guests were teary eyed by the end of it!
It was an incredible honor to be a part of their wedding day at Arrow Spring Chapel. I know that if these two could defy the odds of planning during a pandemic, changes of plans, and so many other obstacles from it their marriage is stronger for it. They handled everything with so much grace and joy I know they’ll face the rest of their lives together that very same way.
Cassidy and Stephen, congrats again, I wish you both nothing but the best!
