You’ve seen their intimate wedding portraits in Coweta, you’ve seen their fairytale bride & groom portraits at Gilcrease Museum…today I’m excited to share with you Cherish & Matt’s rainy engagement portraits at the end of Cherry Street & in Downtown Tulsa! It was really pouring down cats and dogs the day of their session but that didn’t stop them from showing their love for one another!
We started at Mrs. DeHaven’s Flower Shop at the end of Cherry Street. It has a covered overhang and set the perfect backdrop for Cherish & Matt! Here are some of my favorite portraits from that blustery day:
Next, we drove to Downtown Tulsa. This is one of my favorite locations to photograph because of the dramatic ceiling. It kept Cherish & Matt nice and dry until it started raining sideways! We took some final images with a clear umbrella and headed back to the shelter of the car.
Finally, we decided to head indoors. I called Topeca and they were kind enough to let us use their space. Thanks Topeca! Their old location by the Mayo was so cute (their new location is too!) and it set the perfect date night vibe for the rest of the session. While Cherish & Matt freshened up, I bought them a coffee which came handcrafted with the cutest latte heart. It was delicious and really warmed them up after being photographed outside in the cold rain!
Thank you, Cherish & Matt for your flexibility and good attitude while working around the rain! I loved capturing the first portraits in your family legacy. Stay tuned for Cherish’s bridal session captured at Philbrook Museum!
