Two years ago, I said YES to my wedding dress and I wanted to share that excitement with my Facebook and Instagram fans! I gave away a complimentary bridal session to a handful of lucky brides. Crystal was one of the winners! She said,
“Before I forget because of too much excitement, Todd and I are very thankful to the Lord that He blessed your hands in picking our entry. We are so happy and just so very happy!”
Crystal and Todd met online 7 years ago. She lived in another country but made a trip to the United States 3 years ago to visit some family in Florida. Because they had been texting, calling and video calling until it became a daily routine, they felt like it was time to meet in person! Crystal visited OKC for 4 days and had an amazing time. She went back to Florida and felt like she was missing a part of her. So shortly after Crystal planned another trip to OKC and stayed with Todd’s parents for 4 weeks.
“During that 4 weeks, we were testing waters. We knew that we had something serious but we were both hesitant to open up our hearts to each other. One afternoon, we went to Will Rogers Park. He said, that was where he knew that I was the woman that God had destined for him…he confessed his love for me, and he gave me a Promise ring. That was when we started planning and building our future together. “
Crystal purchased her wedding dress in Taal, Batangas in the Philippines. Her favorite part is its laced off-shoulder top! Crystal also loved the two veils she purchased – one with embroidery, and one with length. Because her dress didn’t have a long train, she wanted a long veil that could drag behind her! Crystal did her own flowers, hair, and makeup. I asked Crystal what she was looking forward to most about her wedding. She said,
“I’m looking forward to walking down the aisle towards Todd. We have been joking around that there will be no walking but running instead LOL! kidding aside, I am also excited to say “I Do”. Most of all, I surely won’t be able to wait for it to end. Because then, i would hear our pastor pronounce us as husband and wife.”
Crystal and Todd were married January 7, 2017 with a “dream come true” feel on a bright winter day. Here is what Crystal had to say about the bridal portrait experience:
“I won a bridal photo session just through Instagram, and oh boy was it worth it!!!! Emily was so much fun to work with! She has eyes that see beauty out of the ordinary. I never thought that i’d have photos taken like those. They looked soooooo magical! MAGICAL!
