As a professional wedding photographer, you sometimes do wish you could be a wedding guest for once. At Jennifer and Joe’s wedding at Hidden Creek Heath TX, I got my wish!
The beautiful bride is my cousin. She asked me if I could bring my camera and of course I said yes. What a nice feeling to be able to enjoy the day as a guest and take photos casually. It gave me a whole new perspective and I enjoyed every moment.
Jennifer was a total vision of beauty wearing an elegant lace applique gown with a plunging neckline. She wore her hair in a messy side bun with delicate jewelry and carried a small bouquet of white roses. The groom’s attire was linen mixed with denim which the ring bearer adorably matched his outfit. Let’s not forget to mention that adorable flower girl carrying the big bouquet!
After the moving ceremony outdoors on this super hot day, the guests moved indoors for a meal and refreshments. Everyone was waiting for the couple to cut their amazing 3-tiered naked wedding cake made by my lovely Aunt Lana who also did the bride’s hair. The wooden cross at the altar was made by Joe and now resides in their home as a reminder of their special day and faith. What can I say? I come from a talented family!
Hidden Creek Heath TX is a stunning wedding and event venue in the Dallas area that features an open floor plan, lush gardens, beautiful vistas, and a natural landscape that is postcard perfect.
At sunset, I took the newlyweds outdoors for some romantic portraits. The whole day was dreamy, relaxed and so joyful.
Plus, we all celebrated again with a casual BBQ reception in Jennifer’s hometown of Alva, OK for the guests who weren’t able to attend the Texas ceremony. When it comes to love and family you can have too much celebrating!
